Here We Go Then

Well, after promising it for a while, I have now managed to get on here and set up the ongoing blog of progress of setting up and living the dream.  This is the blog place for the Raymar Reborn project.  Which is a little idea I had when I was very young and I feel in love with a little local cinema in a place called West Malling which is nr. Maidstone in Kent.

The plan is to find a suitable venue, aquire it and set about bringing back local cinema in its former glory to provide an alternative to the roll on/roll off ferry feel of these large multiplexes.  Also, the idea is to not be in competition with them as that would be a fool's folly.  What the idea for this project is that the cinema shows 'Off general release' films i.e. 6-8 weeks after release, small release films, you know those films that your local multiplex doesn't play because it's not Pirates of the Caribbean.  Retro classic seasons, double bills and even may try and host some small film festivals? (Local film makers, ANime, Horror/Sci Fi/Action themes) Who knows let's see where this goes.
